Matthew J Grcic is an award winning filmmaker and a photographer. With
a passion for the environment and documentary film, creating compelling and transformative stories is what he does best. Currently residing in Birmingham Alabama, the state has plenty of natural space to act as his playground.
A photojournalist for 10 years and a filmmaker for 4, Matthew has a solid foundation to deliver any sort of visual asset from marketing and advertising photography and videos to documentary films.

Matthew has been honored with many awards and much recognition for his film “Discovering the Truth with Tanner DeMita.” It won Best Documentary Short in the WI/IL Showdown at the 2016 Beloit International Film Festival. Prior to that it was recognized with a Crystal Pillar for Student Excellence at the 2015 Chicago Regional Emmy Awards. His films have been featured across the Midwest and in Alabama receiving great recognition.

Matthew currently works for Alabama Public Television as a cinematographer and editor creating original content for the statewide network.
